Having low self esteem means that you have self-limiting beliefs that have the effect of holding you back from achieving your true potential. This results in negative self-image and often a lack of self worth.

Initially you will totally lose the ability to identify any of your good points and become your own harshest critic. Other indicators are feeling unworthy and incompetent. You may find you can't handle criticism. You find it difficult to meet people, attend interviews or can't face the possibility of failing even though you set yourself impossible targets that are bound to fail.

What Causes Low Self-Esteem?

It is found that in most cases of low self esteem that the seeds of negativity were sown in the person's mind at an early age. Generally the origins can be traced back to childhood, teachers, parents or other influential adults who may have encouraged a negative self-image with excessive criticism, unfairness, and lack of praise. It helps to know where those negative self-beliefs, that are the cause of low self-esteem, originate.

However you can improve your self-esteem and get rid of those self-limiting beliefs for good.

With hypnotherapy we can help you change these negative self-limiting beliefs into positive ones and as a consequence your confidence will increase and your self-esteem will improve. Good self esteem is probably one of the central most important factors in being happy and making a success of your life.

So How Does It Work?

Generally we suggest 3 to 5 sessions of advanced structured hypnotherapy. The first session will involve a discussion with the hypnotherapist of what you want to achieve from the therapy as well as a detailed explanation of how hypnosis works. Then you will experience a deep relaxation and positive suggestion. In subsequent sessions the hypnotherapist will use early age regression to find the root of the problem as well as powerful visualisation exercises to reinforce positive behaviours.
